Im taking the puff pastry trend and making it Jewish with TORAH TARTS!!! How fun are these for Shavuot?!

Torah Tarts

hot dogs
puff pastry
honey
dijon mustard
egg
sesame seeds

On a parchment-lined baking sheet, put some yellow mustard and dijon directly on the parchment paper. On top of it place 1 hot dog cut lengthwise face down side by side. Top it with a piece of puff pastry, brush it with egg wash and sesame seeds. Bake at 400 degrees until puffed and golden.

Cottage Cheese Cheesecake


Sorry I betrayed all the cottage cheese haters out there but this will win you over too!!!

Cottage Cheese Cheesecake

16oz whipped cottage cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 graham cracker crust

Method:

Blitz and pour into crust. Bake at 350 for approximately 45 min. Refrigerate until fully chilled and set.

BBQ Potato Salad

True story – I had never made this potato salad before, but we were having a BBQ get-together at Prospect Park for my friend’s birthday, and they put me on potato salad duty. I wanted to make something a little different, so I whipped this up and it was literally the first thing to be POLISHED off at the BBQ! Suffice it to say, this is such a crowd pleaser. Potato salad always is!!

Best BBQ Potato Salad for a crowd

2 24oz bags baby red potatoes
9 eggs
4 scallions, chopped
1/3 cup capers
1/2 cup chopped dill
1 heaping cup mayonnaise
3 tbsp spicy brown mustard
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Salt and pepper, to taste
Smoked paprika, for finishing

Method:

Add all of the ingredients to a bowl, mix and ENJOY!

Rice Cake Chocolate Bark


RICE CAKE CHOCOLATE BARK inspired by @dadaeats

Rice Cake Chocolate Bark

2 cups chocolate chips
2 tbsp refined coconut oil
1/4 cup tahini paste
Pinch of salt
4 crushed rice cakes
Handful of Freeze dried strawberries, crushed
Flaky salt for finishing, optional

Method:

In a double boiler melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Mix in the tahini paste, salt, and crushed rice cakes. Spread your mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top your chocolate with freeze dried strawberries and flaky salt, or you may top it with whatever you’d like. Make it your own! Freeze it, break it up into pieces, and enjoy!

Sweet & Sour Salami


SWEET & SOUR SALAMI (a la the chicken!) is your Super Bowl dream food!!! Must make for game day!

Sweet & Sour Salami

1 @abelesheymann salami, cut into chunks
1 tbsp grapeseed oil
1 red pepper, cut into chunks
1/2 green pepper, cut into chunks
1 small onion, cut into chunks
1 cup canned pineapple chunks (juice reserved)
1/4 c ketchup
1/2 c sweet chili sauce
1 heaping tbsp brown sugar
1/3 c pineapple juice

Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok and sauté the salami until browned and crisped, remove from the pan and set aside. Add the red peppers, green peppers, onions and continue to sauté until tender crisp. Add the pineapple and salami and stir to combine. In a small bowl stir the ketchup, sweet chili sauce, brown sugar, and pineapple juice together. Add to the pan and mix well. Serve over rice or in hoagie rolls!
